Beautiful Big Sur

There are a lot of great places to get married along the Big Sur Coastline (and we will be adding more photos shortly). Some of our favorites include:

- Andrew Molera State Park: There is a trailhead that leads you through a forested area and then out to a small beach. Or, you can continue the trail and climb high to a beautiful view of the ocean and interesting rock formations below. Only available for weddings with 2 people (plus the officiant and photographer). Permit fees through the State Parks apply.

- A Hotel in Big Sur. We stayed in a cabin at a newly remodeled hotel in Big Sur and fell in love with the peace and tranquility. Although they do larger weddings (up to 40 ppl with a permit fee starting at $3500), they will allow a small wedding with just the couple, the officiant and photographer, with no fee (as long as the couple is staying at the hotel). Have your ceremony on a lawn area amongst the rustling trees, colorful plants and a rushing river.

-Pfeiffer State Park / Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. For smaller weddings with 25 people or less, you can have your ceremony in areas such as a redwood grove or out by a waterfall outlook. For larger weddings there is a gorgeous, natural (and newly remodeled) amphitheater, a large banquet room (with high, wood beamed ceilings and just off of the pool area) and several picnic areas from which to choose. Permit fees start at $300 for small weddings (elopements with a max of 10 people including the officiant and photographer) and up from there.

- A Hotel & Restaurant in Big Sur. Walk out onto a lawn (which will be exclusively reserved for your wedding) and enjoy the serenity of Big Sur and the sounds of the water flowing down the river. A peaceful, serene choice for a ceremony and available for weekday weddings only (too many people on Friday - Sunday). They have hotel accommodations as well as a restaurant and banquet facilities available. Fees will vary based on the date and amount of people.

- Several more options are available and additional photos can be found on on our Wedding Locations page.
