Monterey Wedding Officiant
Brian Borgia - Lead Wedding Officiant
One of the most difficult parts of planning a wedding is finding someone to officiate your ceremony. Although an officiant will be one of the smallest items in your wedding budget, they are often one of the most important. Finding someone who is professional, knowledgeable, and with whom you get along will help keep your wedding in the “stress-free” zone.
For over 16 years, I have presided over wedding ceremonies ranging from two people to 300 guests. I have an easy-going style and am flexible enough to make the ceremony exactly the way that YOU want it. My passion is writing unique, personalized wedding ceremonies.
As a 30-year resident of the Monterey Peninsula and an ordained, non-denominational wedding officiant, I am familiar with all aspects of our area and wedding ceremonies. I am here not only to perform your ceremony, but to ensure that your wedding day is the happiest day of your life!
My service fees for 2026:
• Custom-written Wedding, Renewal, or Elopement Ceremony: $575-650 (included in our Luxe and Super Luxe packages)
• "Love and Marriage" Wedding, Renewal or Elopement Ceremony: $425 (Elopement, Simplicity and Elegance Package)
• Wedding Rehearsal: $125 (if coordinator present)
Our Luxe and Super Luxe wedding packages include a custom-written ceremony (for Simplicity and Elegance, it is available as an upgrade for just $160). As part of that process, we have one face-to-face meeting (when possible with your schedule) and unlimited phone calls and emails. Remember, as a wedding planner, I can also answer many other questions you may have about your wedding day. Professional wedding officiants in Monterey County charge an average of $600-$800 for a custom ceremony (I am priced just below that average) and $100-$150 for a rehearsal.
