Monterey Wedding Planning and Consulting
All of our wedding and renewal packages include wedding planning as it pertains to the package. For example, our Elegance package includes our time spent finding a location, coordinating the officiant and photographer, selecting and ordering the flowers, selecting the music and ensuring that everything is set up and runs smoothly for your ceremony (including the alter area and chairs). Although there is typically a wedding planning charge from most wedding companies (either a flat fee or 15-20% of the total cost of the package), our fees are quite small.
Currently, our planning expertise is available for planning your wedding reception (small fee - NOT AVAILABLE CURRENTLY) and for assistance with hotel accommodations.
What if you are just researching to see if Monterey County is the right fit for your wedding celebration?
Our Monterey Wedding Planning Explorers package ($195) provides the information you need to know from a locals perspective. In this one hour consultation (can be by phone, Zoom or in person) we will discuss:
- Utilize our experience of 15 years of planning smaller wedding events, getting to know almost all of the vendors and over 30 years of living in Monterey County.
- Possible wedding venues (we have a complete list of over 150 outdoor locations and over 45 indoor locations. Based on your answers to our questions, we identify which ones may be the best match)
- Hotels (what hotels might be available to match your price range and preferences)
- Dates (are you looking at a date that is historically busy due to a special event? If it is a beach wedding, how many other people could be on the beach at the same time?)
- Reception Venues (names of possible venues and brief discussion/opinions about them)
- Opinions on vendors you are considering for your wedding
- Rehearsal Dinner venues (names of possible venues and brief discussion/opinions about them)
- An idea of the cost (rough average) for: site / venue fee, photography, officiant, flowers, DJ, cake, reception etc...
With this package we are not providing our proprietary vendor list or menus or researching availability (this can be added, though). We are saving you time and frustration in figuring out if the Monterey Peninsula is a viable option for your wedding or renewal based on all of the factors (budget, availability, services, weather etc...) In the event you book a wedding or renewal package (over $1,995) with Weddings In Monterey, $100 of the consulting fee will be credited to your account. If you would prefer to meet to just discuss one of our ceremony packages only, we offer a free consultation (we just don't discuss anything outside of the ceremony itself). Thank you!
